Hulled millet has had the husk removed, and as such won't sprout well. However hulled millet is ideal for grinding into millet flour, making into cereals or porridge, making millet beer, bird and animal feed, and other uses. Certified Organic.

Millet has about the same protein content as wheat (11%) and is high in vitamins and minerals, especially B Vitamins. Millet is usually the main ingredient in most birdseed mixes as it is a softer small seed that can be eaten by all birds, (whole or hulled). Millet is a grain that is excellent to grind for flour, bird seed, porridge, and beer making. Hulled millet is usually used as a food, as opposed to a sprouting seed. Hulled millet will sprout, but with a very poor germination rate. If you are looking to sprout millet, please use whole millet instead.

Germination rate is low (<10%) since the husks have been removed. It is microbial tested and closely monitored to prevent the possibility of infectious or transmittable diseases to receptacles, such as trays, jars, or sacks. No herbicides are used.
This unique grain retains its green leaves and thrives during damaging weather conditions. It withstands creepy-crawlies, bugs, and insects. It thrives successfully in well-drained, slightly moist soil and exposed to bright, indirect sunlight.
The most favorable for storage is a dry, cool, dark area with temperatures ranging between 62 and 68 degrees Fahrenheit (16 and 20 degrees Celsius). The life of many grains can be extended for several years. Sometimes the life of certain grains lasts as long as 30 years when meticulous storage is checked. This seed firmly stands in the category of a survivalist food.
